YouTube Presents A Wizzard Channel

ADOTAS – Wizzard Software Corp., owner of Wizzard Media, a large podcasting network, announced today it has signed a content licensing and advertising agreement with YouTube. Wizzard’s new YouTube channel will showcase the best videos from the Wizzard Media Network.

Wizzard will have its own brand channel that will enable users to access streaming video podcasts from the Wizzard Media Network. YouTube will run ads against the shows on the channel. The two companies will share ad revenue generated by the streamed podcasts.

Under the agreement, content from the network will be allowed to be incorporated into the Google AdSense Network. Wizard has also opted to share a percentage of these revenues collected with the show’s creators.

SVP of content development at Wizzard Media, Skip Fredericks said, “We are ecstatic to be partnering with YouTube in creating a Wizzard channel. This is a fantastic opportunity for our producers to expand their audience base and for our advertisers to be able to tie into the YouTube universe with targeted programming from the Wizzard Network.”

Next New Networks Pads Up MySpaceTV

Next New Networks, a media company creating branded micro-networks online announced today that it has partnered with MySpace to offer video content for the MySpaceTV application. These videos are targeted towards specific interests of various communities.

The networks include Barely Political, Channel Frederator, EPIC-FU, Fast Lane Daily, Garage419, Indy Mogul, Threadbanger, Ultra Kawaii, Veracifier, Viropop and VOD Cars.

BBC Signs Deal With MySpace

MySpace is teaming up with the BBC to promote some of the content from the site to a broader audience. This signifies the site’s first major deal with a news network.

This will improve MySpace’s standings in the online video world. The site has become increasingly focused on entertainment technology such as music and video where as its rival Facebook, has been focused on messaging, and various other social technologies, according to Globe and Mail.

The BBC has an existing deal with YouTube.

Simon Danker, director of digital media for BBC Worldwide stated “With the global nature of the deal, this is a great opportunity to put the best shows form the BBC in front of new audiences.”

Under this deal, the two companies will be sharing the ad revenue.

MySpace’s executive VP of marketing and content Jeff Berman was quoted by the Associated Press to say that the deal “reflects a fast-approaching Internet future defined by co-operation between corporations.”
