(Previously, any Web site or app that displayed itself as a Flash file was invisible online because search engines couldn’t detect the file’s content).

Adobe’s fancy new technology enables searches on Flash content. Essentially, searchers on the Flash content will see it in the form of text and links – making the content index-friendly and readily available in search results. (Interactive ads and games with Flash technology will now be available on search engines).

Online advertising campaigns depend on search engine technology and many Flash apps and sites created by advertising agencies have been unable to tap into the gold rush – until now.

Google’s Flash indexing technology is up and running and Yahoo’s will be soon.
