According to Nielson Online AdRelevance, EyeWonder tripled its campaign impression volume from 2006 to 2007, and more than doubled its rich media market share.

John Vincent, CEO of EyeWonder stated “Our consistent and record growth is a direct result of interactive advertisers’, agencies’ and publishers’ overwhelming response to our superior technology, expertise and service. We always strive to exceed their expectations and are proud to continue providing innovations that enable them to more fully and effectively capitalize on the power of interactive advertising.”

Amongst the many milestones for the company in 2007, the firm has also expanded geographically. A new domestic office opened in Dallas and three new U.S. regional vice presidents were named to oversee sales growth in each of their regions. The international presence of the company was expanded to both the UK and Ireland, and Germany-based vendi interactive was acquired by EyeWonder in addition.

Since 2005, the company has seen more than 140% of compounded revenue growth, which is 575% total revenue growth – doubling the industry’s growth rates.

An executive was quoted to say that the company is planning on moving to a single system for ad selling across media and this venture could take up to five years.

Google’s president of advertising and commerce in North America, Tim Armstrong told Reuters that the testing in ad sales for radio, print and television showed that marketers were enthusiastic about a single system that would make management of inventories easier.

“We’re intent on bringing more and more scale to the digital dashboard space,” said Armstrong at a UBS media conference. “There’s a high level of interest and a high level of work that needs to be done. We’re very very early stage on connecting those businesses.”

Armstrong continued that there was room to grow beyond the capabilities of DoubleClick stating “Outside of that deal, there are also other opportunities for us to work in that space with other companies. We’re exploring the ability to basically work with multiple companies in that space.” He also elucidated that the impending purchase serves as a bridge between publishers and advertisers that buy commercial space.

He was quoted to say in Reuters “DoubleClick is one piece of it. We think the deal should close. We think our competitors have been able to close their deals.” Currently Google shares have risen 0.7% to $686.13.

Google’s New York office at 111 8th avenue in Manhattan is now open for business. The facility is a bit of an experiment, combining the ad sales staff with the software engineering staff on the same floor.

At a press briefing on Monday, Craig Nevill-Manning, Google’s New York engineering, said this strategy will help software engineers better understand the needs of ad clients and ad sales, along with helping ad sales people understand the nuances and culture of software engineering. The facility houses Google’s largest advertising sales office. It’s also home to more than 100 engineering projects and serves as a software engineering hub, which will coordinate Google projects around the world. The company, though, has no plans to turn the facility into a data center.

Google opened the New York ad sales office in 2000 under the direction of now vice president of ad sales Tim Armstrong. The sales office served initially as a litmus test of the Madison Avenue advertising environment. As Google’s grew, the office started handling Google’s growing number of ad offerings from text ads to banner images and so on. The sales staff in the new facility will handle Google’s staple AdWords platform, as well as experimental ad technologies like print and audio ads.

Google’s software engineering office in New York opened in 2003, and has been the chrysalis for projects like Google Maps, Spreadsheet, Mobile Web Search and Finance, which was developed in conjunction with Google’s Bangalore office. The new office also serves as a home for Google Checkout and Google Notebook.

The ever-expanding Google empire is reportedly testing a system that aims to speed online purchases.According to Reuters, the new system, temporarily dubbed “GBuy” by analysts, will aim to facilitate quicker purchases by a consumer from a marketer.Google CEO Eric Schmidt claims that the new service will differ from the popular PayPal system by targeting advertisers rather than general consumers.”It makes no sense for us to go into businesses that are occupied by existing leaders,” he said in a New York meeting. “We want to solve new problems in the payments space.”

RBC Capital Markets analyst Jordan Rohan discussed the importance of targeting advertisers first, an issue Google has been confronting through expanding technology to send targeted messages to individual consumers via other media like magazines.”Eventually we hope that a targeted ad would be better than a targeted sales person,” Schmidt said.

Rohan estimated that Google is likely to launch this service by the end of the month.Merchants would not be charged for the service during the beta phase, but could eventually be expected to take fees of up to two percent.Google has not yet announced details of the prospective service nor has it been given a name.

Agency JJ has redesigned the site to improve customer handling and acquisition levels.

The new and improved site has seen its highest level of users since it went live last month with 42,000 searches. The site has also produced twice as many calls to the company to purchase cars than it did this time last year.Customers have responded well to the website changes, which will lead to increased sales and customer service satisfaction.

Yahoo! and eBay announced today that the companieshave inked a deal that will expand both businesses in the U.S.This multi-year strategic partnership includes components in the areas of online payments, search and graphical advertising, a co-branded toolbar, and “click-to-call” functionality. The plan between both companies will be fully implemented in 2007.

“Our consumers will benefit from the combination of Yahoo! and eBay’s leading technology and services, providing them with one of the best online experiences,” said Terry Semel, chairman and chief executive officer, Yahoo! Inc, in a press release. “Yahoo! holds a leadership position in all forms of online advertising. This partnership with eBay provides us with a great opportunity to further extend our sponsored search and graphical advertising reach to one of the largest and most active communities on the Web.”

Meg Whitman, president and chief executive officer, eBay Inc. also commented, “We are thrilled to be working more closely with Yahoo! and we think this agreement represents a great opportunity to benefit our communities and grow our businesses. Yahoo! offers an engaged online audience, which drives massive traffic through its rich consumer content and premium services. Working together, we can create more exposure for our properties, which in turn makes them more valuable to our users.”

Details of the agreement include that Yahoo! will become the exclusive third-party provider of all graphical advertisements throughout the eBay.com site, and sponsored search for complementary products on some eBay.com search results pages in the U.S. PayPal will also become Yahoo’s exclusive third-party provider of its online wallet, which allows customers to pay for Yahoo! services such as bank accounts, credit cards or balances associated with their PayPal accounts.

Yahoo! web search functionality and Yahoo! site links, including the Yahoo! Home Page, Yahoo! Mail and My Yahoo!, will also be integrated into a co-branded version of the eBay toolbar. Finally, Yahoo! and eBay will explore developing and deploying “click-to-call” advertising technologies on their respective Websites in the U.S., accessible by users of both Yahoo! Messenger with Voice and Skype.

As part of its overall plan for Marthastewart.com, Martha Stewart Omnipedia Inc. will be incorporating a MySpace-style social network aimed at adult women. Marthastewart.com has moved from an online retail space to an ad-supported media space since it began in 1999. The site will re-launch some time in February 2007, incorporating even more original multimedia content, according to Martha Steward Omnipedia CEO Susan Lyne at the Morgan Stanely Media & Communication conference.

Late 2007 will see the launch of the as yet unnamed social network. “There is a big opportunity in what is called the older female demographic lifestyle arena. This is 25-45. There is no place like MySpace, like Friendster for that demographic. …we do believe we can become a major destination there,” said Lyne after referring to thousands of emails received from Martha Stewart fans containing images, recipes, and other media.

Other community-based sites targeting the adult female demographic include Sisterwoman.com and NBC’s iVillage. The Martha Stewart take on social networking will let members share photos, recipes, scrapbooks, projects and other creations with design experts and the rest of the community.
