Harrison Magun, a pioneer in digital advertising and search engine marketing, is Covario's senior vice president of paid media and analytics solutions. He leads the Covario team focused on service and software solutions -- as well as analytics -- for paid search, display advertising, video ads, and paid social media.
Magun joined Covario after serving at Microsoft Corporation, where he headed sales, account management and analytics for the Ad Tools and Technologies division, which incorporates the Atlas display ad server and the Bing search engine.
Earlier in his career, Magun was vice president of Razorfish when the search agency services firm was part of aQuantive (subsequently acquired by Microsoft). He first became part of aQuantive when that firm acquired a company he co-founded called eonMedia and GoToast – not only one of the world’s first search engine marketing firms, but also home to one of the first bid management algorithms that Magun helped develop.
He has a Master’s degree in International Affairs from Columbia University and a Bachelor’s from Carleton College.
