The Collective Bill Caspare Memorial Fund Diversity Scholarship Open for 2016 Submissions
Collective, an ad tech company and programmatic pioneer, announced that The Collective Bill Caspare Memorial Fund Diversity Scholarship, established by Collective LLC and The 4A’s Foundation (American Association of Advertising Agencies), is now open for submissions for its second year. The scholarship supports diversity in the New Media and Data Science disciplines within advertising and media. The 2016 scholarship application period runs through April 25.
Collective awarded the first Scholarship to Nikita Metharamani, in December 2015, a junior student at New York University studying Advertising/Marketing, Business Strategy and New Media Studies. This year, two students will each be awarded $10,000 based on outstanding talent and eligibility, allowing them to pursue careers in one or more of the following: new media, data science and product development.
“We are proud of our role in making our industry more accessible to bright and talented young people of diverse backgrounds,” said Kerry Bianchi, COO at Collective (pictured top left). “It’s even more exciting that we are extending the scholarship to not one, but two worthy candidates this year.”
Created in memory of former Collective senior executive Bill Caspare, the Fund provides a variety of resources, including scholarships, that allow students and young professionals of diverse ethnic and cultural backgrounds to explore careers in new media, data science and product development.

For almost 20 years, the Foundation has been providing financial support to multicultural individuals studying advertising, media, and/or the creative arts, as well as resources to programs and initiatives in NYC that cover the following categories for our industry: Education, Employment, Outreach, Engagement and Retention. Simultaneously, it engages colleges, universities and recognized portfolio schools, which help identify high potential students willing and able to make a difference in our community.
