Get ready for an uprising! First, there’s the revolutionary ad for The Hunger Games-Part 1 Mockingjay. The entire campaign creates a user-generated rebellion that mimics the core themes from the film. Then, watch bad coaches break a few bats (and all the rules) and finally treat yourself or that special someone to an ideal gift from Braun.
It’s a veritable creative insurgency!

Users follow code-breaking breadcrumbs across Facebook, Twitter and 19 partner sites via immersive Rich Media experiences to unlock access to a deleted scene from the blockbuster movie for The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1 Home Entertainment Release.
Facebook: Upon user click on the Newsfeed Image, a new Web Page opened up where District 13 (the Rebel District) “hacked” into the Ad execution, and instead, served a secret message in Binary Code. Once the user translated this code using a free online Translator Tool – they realized it was a cryptic list of websites leading them to the ultimate fan prize: A deleted Scene.
Twitter: Because the Facebook Sponsored Post was the catalyst for this campaign, users were directed via the 19 partner sites to go to Twitter & hashtag “UnlockMockingyay.” Additional Twitter Website cards were then promoted which contained another rich media unit that prompted users to continue tweeting #UnlockMockingjay in order to reach a maximum threshold. Once this threshold was met, an exclusive first look at a deleted scene from the film would be released, a full day before the scene came out on DVD!
