(ADOTAS) San Francisco, CA – September 15, 2014 – Independent creative studio, Portal A, today announced that Evan Bregman, the former Executive Director of Digital Media at Electus and an award-winning producer for multiple platforms, is joining the company as Head of Original Content. At Electus, Bregman oversaw creative, production and audience development for all of the Electus Digital properties.
In his new role starting September 15, Bregman will oversee Portal A’s original content creation from development to production, distribution and amplification, creating a slate of projects to bring to advertisers, television networks and digital buyers. Bregman will also lead Portal A’s development of original content featuring and co-created by YouTube creators for multiple platforms. Bregman will be joining Portal A’s Los Angeles office.

Portal A’s video campaigns have been viewed more than 300 million times across the web.
At Electus, Bregman served as Executive Producer for numerous scripted and non-scripted projects for digital and TV, including YouTube hits K-Town, Massholes, Colibritany and Isla Presidencial, Amazon Kids’ pilot Maker Shack Agency, and the multi-platform launch of rap battle league Total Slaughter, in partnership with Eminem’s Shady Films. A founding member of the Electus team, Bregman previously worked with Electus Founder and Chairman Ben Silverman at NBC. Prior to that, Bregman was an independent web producer with his production team Half Day Today!, whose creations continue to receive millions of views online.
Bregman holds a B.A. in film from the University of Southern California (USC), where he was also among the first to graduate with Honors in Multimedia Scholarship, a four-year interdisciplinary program through USC’s Institute for Multimedia Literacy.
