Yieldbot Names Dorothy McGivney Chief Product Officer
NEW YORK, June 11, 2014 (ADOTAS) —Yieldbot, a leading provider of real-time consumer intent to digital marketers, today announced the appointment of Dorothy McGivney (pictured) as chief product officer. In her new role, McGivney will be responsible for driving product development and strategy.
Dorothy brings more than eleven years of expertise to Yieldbot, which encompasses several senior roles across publishing, advertising technology and sales. Most recently she was founder and CEO of Jauntsetter, a popular travel-themed media property that was acquired by Gothamist in 2013.
Previously, Dorothy served as a senior leader for Google’s advertising operations network, helping to develop original pre-sales, service and renewal processes for its premium ad product, as well as contributing to the development of AdWords Editor, an application used by thousands of brands and agencies. As one of Google’s first New York City executives, Dorothy helped lead the hiring, managing and scaling of its optimization team, which was responsible for more than $100 million dollars in annual revenue.
“I am excited to join the Yieldbot team and help the company scale our product and support teams,” said McGivney. “The energy and enthusiasm at Yieldbot remind me of my early days at Google, being a part of a team you knew was on a winning track. It’s great to be working with such a unique industry leader like Yieldbot, and I look forward to elevating the company’s offerings in the years to come.”
“We are thrilled to have Dorothy join the Yieldbot team,” said Jonathan Mendez, CEO at Yieldbot. “Her expertise in growing both advertising sales and the technology makes her well-suited to guide our product vision. Her roles on both the publisher and marketing technology realms make her uniquely positioned to understand the pain points and remedies for both.”
Dorothy founded the North Brooklyn Breakfast Club, a popular monthly New York organization that was called the “Who’s who of the digital startup world” by The New York Times.
Yieldbot is the only media channel that uses first-party data to target real-time consumer intent. Yieldbot both increases the value of digital media for brands and drives higher CPMs for publishers by capturing, organizing and activating real-time consumer intent in the click-stream. Yieldbot can be bought and sold on a performance basis. Yieldbot’s ”Intent Graph®,” consists of the real-time flow of consumer intent through 2 billion monthly premium page views.
