BARCELONA and AMSTERDAM, May 28, 2014 (ADOTAS) — Yieldr, the platform putting direct advertisers in control of programmatic marketing, today announced the June opening of its new pan-global central sales office in Barcelona. The unit will be headed by former Facebook and Yahoo! manager Natalie Livingstone (pictured).

The expansion comes on the back of the company securing a €4.6m Series-A funding round from Partech and Active Venture Partners as well as Yieldr recently putting live its 2,000th campaign.

Livingstone brings with her several years of experience building revenue generating online advertising teams across EMEA aimed at ensuring direct advertisers reach their online marketing goals.

“Making the move to Yieldr was incredibly attractive for me,” said Livingstone. “The impressive technology aimed at meeting the unique needs of advertisers, the vibrant and open company culture and the strong leadership team already in place makes the Yieldr team one that I am thrilled to join.”

Barcelona has been rated the best European city in terms of quality of life for workers, according Cushman & Wakefield, European Cities Monitor 2011. Because of its attractive infrastructure and high living standards, Yieldr follows suit with the likes of Yahoo, Booking.com, TravelClick and eDreams by setting up shop in Barcelona.

Both the new CEO of Yieldr, Tom Triscari, and Livingstone helped build Yahoo’s successful mid-market office in Barcelona from 2008 to 2013. Yieldr’s Barcelona office will house a commercial sales team catering to 8 distinct markets as well as a creative banner team of frontend developers who design and implement high-quality ads.

“While many people believe Barcelona is a great place to start, but bad place to grow, I see it otherwise,” said Philipp Schroeder, founding partner of Active Ventures Partners and Series A investor in Yieldr. “Having a pan-global centralized sales office in Barcelona will give Yieldr a distinct advantage in attracting and retaining talent while building a superior company culture.”

“We’re very happy to welcome another successful international company such as Yieldr to Barcelona. It further reinforces the notion that Barcelona is an excellent hub for technology companies to both start and grow their business, all the while providing a high standard of living for employees,” said Sònia Recasens, Second Deputy Mayor for the Area of Economy, Enterprise and Employment. “The Barcelona City Council wants to go hand in hand with the city’s business ecosystem by making Barcelona an easy place to do business. As part of the new Business Support Office ,the Barcelona City Council is currently providing a one-stop-shop business landing service to assist international companies during the whole setting up process, from the business incorporation to the search of location or the staff recruitment.”
