AdColony Expands Global Presence With Key Exec Hires
LOS ANGELES, May 1, 2014 (ADOTAS) — AdColony, the leading mobile video marketing platform, today announced the opening of its European offices with new hire Andrew French (pictured), GM EMEA based out of London, who will lead AdColony’s continued expansion throughout the region.
With many of AdColony’s key app developers and advertisers driving business originating from international markets, AdColony is bolstering the company’s already strong growth and dominance in mobile video advertising with a strategic move to have a more marked presence in Europe.
In the newly created role, French will helm AdColony’s growing EMEA business by providing support and strategic account management for top mobile publishers and advertisers in the region. Prior to joining AdColony, French was VP Client Services at Somo, the largest independent mobile solutions company in the world, where he was responsible for all media revenue. He was Somo’s second ever employee and built out the company’s international client list and Global Trading division, working with more than 250 partners to ensure efficient and effective media spend and results.
“I’m extremely impressed with the best-in-class mobile video products that AdColony has established in the market,” said French. “I’m excited to lead the European growth by investing in our international partners to continue to deliver superior mobile video campaign results for advertisers and app developers.”
“We’re thrilled to have Andrew join the AdColony team to help us launch and establish our new office in the UK!” said Will Kassoy, CEO of AdColony. “Andrew has proven success, deep industry knowledge and great leadership skills. We look forward to expanding the team and building the company culture in Europe under his leadership this year.”
Joining French on the AdColony team is Stefan Adamczyk who is Sales Director for EMEA, based out of Paris, France. Formerly of Adloqi and Mobile Ventures, Adamczyk has a wealth of experience working with brands and agencies to deliver successful mobile advertising campaigns.
“As a truly global company, we’ve built meaningful relationships with publishers and advertisers around the world, and having Andrew and Stefan on board to represent AdColony in EMEA will allow us to further invest in important relationships to drive additional business development and growth in the region,” said Mike Owen, Chief Revenue Officer of AdColony.
The new hires and EMEA expansion come on the heels of AdColony closing out a record 2013. AdColony continues to increase headcount globally to support its best-in-class team working with Fortune 500 brands and more than 75 percent of the top grossing developers.
Global mobile advertising spending is on track to grow 75.1 percent in 2014 to $31.5 billion, accounting for almost 25 percent of total digital ad spending worldwide.1 With mobile video representing the fastest growing ad format in mobile at a projected 119 percent growth rate in 2014 for the U.S. alone, AdColony is poised to capitalize on the global market opportunity.2
