Intent Media Hires Noted Travel Industry Exec Noreen Henry as VP of Business Development
NEW YORK, March 11, 2014 (ADOTAS) — Intent Media, an online advertising company that delivers high-margin ad revenue to travel retailers while protecting their core transaction business, today announced that Noreen Henry (pictured) has joined the company as Vice President of Business Development. In this role, she will be responsible for expanding Intent Media’s global publisher base of leading online travel agencies, metasearch and supplier sites. Henry has more than 25 years of experience selling travel technology and distribution solutions in North America, Europe, Asia and Latin America.
“Noreen has an exceptional reputation for building strategic long-term partnerships and a proven track record of leading large high-performing global teams,” says Richard Harris, CEO of Intent Media. “Intent Media has a proven, innovative advertising platform that’s driving significant revenue and strategic value for leading online travel agencies and metasearch sites. That said, there’s massive growth opportunity both in North America and globally. Noreen is uniquely well-suited to drive this expansion.”
Henry comes to Intent Media from Travelocity, where most recently she was Senior Vice President, Global Partner Services. Before that, she served as Vice President, Hotels & Packaging. Earlier in her career, Henry held senior positions with Netscape Communications and Sabre. She holds a BA from University of North Texas and is a graduate of Harvard Business School’s Advanced Management Program.
“Intent Media has a unique value proposition for travel retailers looking to maximize the full value of their site traffic,” says Henry. “The combination of Intent Media’s powerful data analytics and advanced advertising platform is driving significant incremental profits for its partners. I’m excited to bring this opportunity to other travel retailers and suppliers globally.”
Intent Media (www.intentmedia.com) helps retailers unlock their site traffic’s full value by showing competitive ads directly in the search results of commerce sites, but only to shoppers the company predicts will be more likely to buy on a different site. The end result: significantly more profit per visitor on partner sites, and a huge new source of highly-qualified traffic for advertisers. Intent Media powers these competitive ads on sites including Expedia, Orbitz, Travelocity, CheapTickets, Hotwire, BookIt.com and Hipmunk. Hundreds of performance marketers at airlines, hotels, online travel agencies, and metasearch companies reach travel shoppers every day through its pay-per-click advertising platform.
