CHICAGO, March 20, 2014 — elevate DIGITAL, a leading developer of street-level digital interactive technology, announced today that it has secured $3 million in funding from SFX Entertainment, the leading producer of live events and digital entertainment content focused exclusively on electronic music culture (EMC) and other world-class festivals.
Bringing elevate DIGITAL’s Series A total raise to $7.2 million, this tranche will be used to foster the company’s growth into new geographic markets. SFX has plans to use elevate DIGITAL screens at events, helping elevate expand its footprint as it aims for deployments in the top 30 markets by the end of 2014.
“Our mission has always been to create a platform that allows advertisers and content producers to connect with consumers through an engaging digital interface at the street level,” said George Burciaga (pictured), CEO and founder of elevate DIGITAL. “This investment will allow us to roll out our technology in new markets, especially internationally.”
By combining interactive software applications and connective advertising with mobile and social integration, elevate DIGITAL allows advertisers to enhance the customer experience and achieve high levels of engagement. The interactive displays can be placed in high-traffic areas, and all applications provide user and engagement metrics, allowing advertisers to easily measure campaign performance. elevate DIGITAL’s interactive displays have, on average, over six hours of consumer interactivity per day per unit.
“The digital age offers exciting new ways to enhance the festival experience for our millions of fans attending our events,” said Robert FX Sillerman, chairman and CEO of SFX Entertainment. “The elevate kiosks will provide a way for our fans to share everything from photographs to music to other surprises with their friends everywhere.”
Since its founding in 2011, elevate DIGITAL has deployed more than 70 screens across several cities. The company has also established partnerships with organizations such as Groupon, The Tribune Company and the American Red Cross, among others.
