SAN FRANCISCO, January 16, 2014 (ADOTAS) – Ampush, a leading ad technology company and Facebook Strategic Preferred Marketing Developer (sPMD), today announced that it has appointed Tom Arrix to its board of advisors. Arrix, who led Facebook’s Global Marketing Solutions Group until late last year, will join Ampush’s existing advisors in helping to shape the strategic direction of the fast-growing company. In particular, Arrix will advise on client strategy, strategic partnerships and market/product development.

Arrix (pictured) is a media and marketing industry veteran. In his seven years at Facebook, Arrix saw the company’s transformation from 8 million users to over a billion today. Under Arrix’s leadership, Facebook developed transformational marketing relationships with industry leaders like Walmart, American Express, JPMorgan Chase, Coca-Cola, Amazon, P&G, Samsung, EA Sports, Lions Gate and GM’s return to the platform in 2013. Prior to Facebook, Arrix led Univision Digital’s advertising and mobile sales team, servicing the U.S. Hispanic market and led the sales efforts for CBS Sportsline.

“We look forward to working closely with Tom; we have gotten to know each other well in the last several months and Tom shares our values and vision for Ampush.” said Jesse Pujji, CEO and co-founder at Ampush. “His deep experience and knowledge of media sales, Facebook advertising and native platforms will be integral in taking Ampush to the next level.”

As a bootstrapped company, Ampush continues to invest in its fast-growing native advertising business. The native advertising space is quickly becoming one of the largest opportunities in ad tech. As more native platforms develop ad offerings, advertisers will need closely integrated and streamlined technology partners that serve ads across multiple native platforms in order to achieve optimal ROI. Ampush has already begun to capitalize on this market opportunity, investing significant resources into the evolution of its native software offering and team growth, and will continue to do so this year with Tom onboard.

“Ampush is raising the bar by taking the complexity out of buying ads for brands and direct response advertisers, on the industry’s biggest native ad platforms like Facebook and Twitter,” said Arrix. “During my time at Facebook, I witnessed Ampush drive major ROI across multiple industries through Facebook advertising. This trend will continue on other native platforms as the industry evolves and Ampush continues its upward growth trajectory. I’m thrilled and honored to work with Ampush’s founders, some of the industry’s true rock stars.”
