NEW YORK, November 13, 2013 (ADOTAS) — Google and global digital agencies DigitasLBi and Razorfish have jointly announced a pre-Newfront 2014 deal. The deal comprises an upfront commitment across Google’s video (including YouTube), display and mobile properties, as well as access to Google creative and planning strategists, to collaborate on content and campaigns.
Google’s YouTube is a Founding Partner of the industry-wide Digital Content Newfronts (DCNF); DigitasLBi created the Newfront in 2008 and remains the only agency Founding Partner of the DCNF. In July, Razorfish hosted Google’s first social commerce hackathon. The initiative called on members of the Razorfish and DigitasLBi communities to create commerce experiences on behalf of the agency’s various retail clients that work across Google’s ecosystem on behalf of clients.
“As digital agencies, DigitasLBi and Razorfish are each uniquely positioned to help brands and businesses pair creativity and technology to create groundbreaking campaigns that are digital at the core,” said Torrence Boone (pictured), Managing Director, Agency Business Development for Google. “We’re excited to partner with these leading digital marketers to unlock the next wave of innovation in media and content creation.”
“Our duty to our clients is to help them build and transform their brands, through digital first. This strategic agency alliance with Google offers our clients access to premium inventory as well as deep access to Google’s insights, creative and technology resources,” said Rishad Tobaccowala, Chairman, DigitasLBi and Razorfish. “DigitasLBi and Razorfish are distinct yet collaborative agency partners, each uniquely designed (and qualified) to ing their established creative and technology muscles and growing media capabilities to the table. This new deal extends the robust relationship Publicis Groupe and VivaKi have built with Google over the past five years.”
