NEW YORK and EL SEGUNDO, Calif., October 31, 2013 (ADOTAS) — Viggle and DIRECTV are excited to announce the extension and expansion of their existing partnership, which will provide Viggle users among the satellite provider’s customers with exclusive Viggle points-earning opportunities and rewards, including the ability to receive Viggle Points for ordering pay-per-view movies.
Additionally, Viggle and DIRECTV will roll out new ways for Vigglers to interact with their favorite programs through their DIRECTV service. During the partnership’s first year, engagement by Viggle users on DIRECTV helped drive loyalty on the DIRECTV platform as well participating networks and shows. Furthermore, a closer integration of the two parties’ sales teams has led to an advertising relationship whereby DIRECTV includes Viggle ad inventory as part of their sales packages.
Lexus is the first advertiser to have taken advantage of this relationship, running media on-air throughDIRECTV and in mobile via Viggle.

The expanded relationship kicked off this month with a special anniversary promotion of DIRECTV offerings, including FXX. Going forward:
- Viggle will highlight exclusive programming offers to DIRECTV customers and integrate DIRECTV into Viggle’s innovative advertising platform with video, sponsored games, and interactive ads.
- DIRECTV will focus its marketing messages on encouraging additional downloads of the Viggle app, recommending that DIRECTV subscribers link their accounts with Viggle, and begin packaging Viggle’s engagement advertising inventory with on-air sponsorships.
Additionally, Viggle and DIRECTV will work together to develop innovative technology solutions around the DIRECTV customer viewing experience, including DIRECTV set-top box and tablet integrations.
