Report: ‘New York’s Hometown Paper’ Launches Program To Aid Media Tech Startups


ADOTAS – The New York Daily News has launched a new program in which it will invest its various resources — including seed money and office space — in startup media tech companies.

“Entrepreneurs, venture capitalists, angel investors and professionals will provide mentorship and guidance to Innovation Lab startups, while the program’s professional partners will offer free legal, accounting and other services — all with the goal of transforming the media industry,” according to the report, released yesterday. ” …Successful applicants will have unique access to The News’ staff and will be able to tap its technical infrastructure. The startups will have an opportunity to showcase their products on The News’ digital properties, which reach 17 million unique visitors per month and generate more than 150 million page views per month.”
