Larissa’s Picks to Click: Brands to Up TV Ante by $2B, WWE Socialmania, Instagram ‘Ads’

I feel old.  Registering for my last semester of classes yesterday was bittersweet.  Can I go back to kindergarten?

  • While print ads are slowing down, TV advertising is one medium doing the opposite.  Mashable reports that TV advertisers will increase their spending this year by $2 billion.
  • Another WWE “Wrestlemania” takes place this Sunday, but fans can follow all the action via social media before then. Twitter, YouTube and Facebook are providing content, sponsoring contests and streaming videos of the event (via ClickZ).
  • Instagram has been running ads from celebrities and brands on their site, but they aren’t traditional ads you’re thinking of.  And Facebook hasn’t seen any profits from it (via Ad Age).
