Infographic: 77% of Brand Images Shared on Twitter Don’t Mention the Brand

ADOTAS — LTU Technologies compiled the research an infographic showing that 36% of all links shared on Twitter are now images. But what’s causing concern for marketers is that up to 77% of brand images are shared without tags or comments referencing the brand name.

Since most Twitter analytics platforms only mine text, brands have no way to monitor when non-tagged images of their products, logos, and campaigns are being shared on Twitter. It’s a big problem, since brands clearly need to know when, where, and in which context their trademarked images are being shared.
