Beer Brand Teams with CraveOnline to Unveil First-to-Market 3D Mobile Cube


LOS ANGELES, April 16, 2013 (ADOTAS) Evolve Media’s CraveOnline, the largest online male lifestyle publisher, is debuting its exclusive 3D mobile cube — a first-of-its kind engagement unit promoting Henry Weinhard’s beer. The cutting-edge unit will be hosted throughout CraveOnline’s mobile channel, and includes social media connectivity, as well as lighthearted and amusing videos about the history of Henry Weinhard.

Appearing to float on users’ mobile screens, the sleek and interactive 3D mobile cube features six sides that allow users to “spin,” swipe, and turn the cube from left to right and up and down. The unit is triggered by a 320×50 banner that features prominent Henry Weinhard’s branding.

Three of the cube’s sides include entertaining videos that introduce Crave readers to Henry Weinhard and the mark he left on beer-making. The remaining three sides allow users to click through to the Henry Weinhard’s Facebook page, YouTube channel and official website.

About Henry Weinhard’s

Henry Weinhard’s beers are a part of Tenth and Blake Beer Company, the craft and import division of MillerCoors. In the spring of 1856, a young brew master from Germany traveled months aboard a cargo ship to America and arrived in Oregon Territory.  Young Henry established his brewery outside of Ft. Vancouver and had a steady stream of thirsty trappers, soldiers and loggers to enjoy his high quality brews.  Demand quickly increased for Henry’s fine brews and he continued to share them with the people by purchasing saloons, delivering beer to neighboring cities via horse-drawn carriages and even shipping beer aboard barges to San Francisco.  By the end of the century, Henry became a leading citizen of Portland and was revered for his craft of brewing.  He passed away in 1904 and left behind a wealth of friends and a tradition of high quality, authentic beers, brewed with ingredients from the Pacific Northwest, including Woodland Pass India Pale Ale, Redwood Flats Amber Ale and Private Reserve.
