MIT Blackjack Kingpin and Forrester’s Top Search Marketing Analyst Slated to Keynote Annual Covario Client Conference
SAN DIEGO (December 5, 2012) – Covario, Inc., the nation’s top independent search marketing agency, today announced the keynote speakers for its annual INFLECTIONPoint conference, Feb. 5-7, which is expected to attract many of the world’s leading digital marketers.
The opening morning keynote session on Wednesday, Feb. 6, will feature Jeff Ma, business strategist, social media guru, and kingpin of the famous MIT blackjack team that was the subject of the hit movie “21” and the best-selling book “Bringing Down the House.” Ma created an ingenious method for counting cards, where he used his talent, creativity, math acumen, and teamwork to win millions in Las Vegas. He has since co-founded tenXer, an innovative human capital management company, and speaks often about how companies can “harness the power of numbers” to make better bottom-line business decisions.
Shar VanBoskirk, vice president and principal analyst at Forrester Research, Inc., is set to kick off the second day of the conference on Thursday, Feb. 7. A graduate of Harvard University, VanBoskirk is respected for her research insights and thought-leadership in the search and email marketing space. She serves global interactive marketing professionals at many of the world’s largest companies, and is a leading expert on how businesses can leverage interactive marketing channels and technologies to drive sales and deepen customer relationships.
In addition to keynotes by VanBoskirk and Ma, the conference will feature insightful panels, case study presentations, and interactive roundtables on current issues of the highest importance to global search marketers and digital advertisers.
The preliminary agenda includes such topics as the latest trends in content marketing, the value of integrating search and social, and the new world of performance media – to name a few. Representatives from a host of Covario client companies are expected to attend, including digital marketers from such companies as Intel, Lenovo, IBM, Guthy-Renker, and many more. Key executives from partner organizations, such as Kenshoo and Majestic SEO, will also be on hand sponsoring selected sessions.
