As part of Expedia Media Solutions’ effort to attract a more diversified group of advertisers on Expedia sites, it has hired Paul DeBraccio as Director Media Solutions Ad Sales, North America and Derek Netelenbos as Senior Director, Global Advertising Sales. Both executives were brought on board during a key growth period for Expedia Media Solutions, as more non-travel brands turn to Expedia websites for its highly diverse audience of 60 million qualified users.
A digital pioneer and advertising veteran, DeBraccio previously managed sales and marketing efforts at Geocities, Tripod and Uproar. In his new role he will be responsible for leading the advertising programs on Expedia sites across various brand verticals, including automotive, entertainment, finance, food, pharmaceuticals, technology, telecommunications, toiletries and travel.
With more than two decades of experience in all aspects of online advertising, Netelenbos will manage the global advertising sales efforts for Expedia’s display and performance media products across APAC, EMEA, LATAM and North America. During his career, he has held positions at PeopleFinders, WhitePages.com, Loudeye Technologies, AT&T and Ernst & Young.
