Infographic: “Three Things You Should Know for Mobile World Congress 2012″
ADOTAS - Whether you’re able to make it to Barcelona at the end of February for the 2012 Mobile World Congress or you’re just keeping an eye and ear on the discussion that’ll be happening in that corner, international ad-serving solutions provider Smart AdServer has put together an infographic summarizing some findings from 2011 about traffic on mobile devices, compared to desktop computers, and also about the way different kinds of ads performed on different kinds of devices. Here’s one fairly striking stat the company presents: For every click on a standard web banner ad (not on a mobile device), a rich media banner ad on a mobile gets 68 clicks. Also, Smart AdServer points out that half of all mobile traffic comes after 5 p.m. (To anyone who works a desk job, this would make a lot of sense.) All this should help advertisers plan out not just how but when they spend their ad dollars. Here’s that infographic (click to enlarge):
