New Hires: Weekly Roundup
ADOTAS – It’s been another busy week of acquisitions, promotions, new hires, creations of new positions, openings of new offices and new divisions — What have the people you know been up to? Here’s a brief list of what you may have missed.
• Mobile ad network Greystripe (a division of ValueClick), announced nine executive hires this week, in conjunction with its opening of four new sales offices, in Atlanta, Seattle, Minneapolis and Phoenix. Newly on board are senior account executives Brian Pearlman (formerly of Millennial Media), Ryan Bleich (coming from AOL), Terah Bocchi (from Belo Phoenix) and Jeff Margolis (from Adfusion); regional sales managers Chris Backschies (from WeatherBug), Bill Kramer (from quadrantONE), Matt Sexton (from RadiumOne) and Ken Yonan (from Specific Media); and account executive Josh Parker (from Specific Media).
• Following digital advertising agency Ayzenberg Group‘s acquisition of social media marketing agency The Social Method earlier this week, Social Method co-founder Rebecca Markarian has been named director of social and emerging media at Ayzenberg.
• Eric Springer has been named chief creative officer at advertising/marketing agency Pitch. Springer comes from Deutsch/LA, where he’d been executive vice president and a group creative director.
• Social video ad company Jun Group team has brought in a new director of sales, Stacy Freedman, who’d previously worked with Brand.net.
• Simon Calvert is now the worldwide head of strategic planning for the advertising agency Digitas. Prior to Digitas, he’d been Draftfcb’s global chief planning officer and executive strategy director.
• Mobile ad network Jumptap has named Bob Hammond its chief technology officer. He comes to Jumptap from Vibrant Media, where he’d been senior vice president of technology.
• Digital agency 360i announced three high-level promotions: Former senior vice president of brand strategy and emerging media Sarah Hofstetter is now the agency’s president. Jared Belsky, former managing director of the Atlanta office, is now the executive vice president. And Dave Jacobs, previously managing director of the New York office, is now general manager of strategy, social media and SEO.
• Kathleen Mulcahy has been named senior vice president of experiential marketing at marketing firm re:fuel. The experiential marketing group is a brand new division for re:fuel. Mulcahy had previously served as vice president of marketing for the Promotion Marketing Association (PMA).
• Michael Iantosca has been appointed chief revenue officer at ad verification and performance measuring company AdSafe. This is a new position. Iantosca comes from VEVO, where he’d been vice president of advertising sales.
• Marketing services firm Epsilon announced two high-level hires this week. Keith Morrow was named executive vice president and chief information officer, while Chris Ray was named chief information security officer. Previously, Morrow had founded K. Morrow Associates, and Ray had been second vice president of information technology security and software configuration management at Aflac.
