Ireland’s Online Ad Spend Increases By 20%


ADOTAS – It is being reported that the online ad market in Ireland has grown by 20 percent annually in the first half of 2011 (to 65 million euros) and is currently the third-largest ad medium after print and television.

First reported in the Irish Times, online ad spend growth compares to a 1.5 percent drop (to 443.4 million euros) in other media spends. Online accounts for 13 percent of all advertising spend in Ireland.

Display ads had the largest growth, up 41 percent to 20.7 million euros, and now accounts for 34 percent of all online spending.
