Welcome Aboard: Colleran Becomes Buddy Media Advisor

ADOTAS – Kevin Colleran, Facebook’s first ad sales executive, is joining Facebook brand platform manager Buddy Media’s board of advisors. Colleran is leaving the social network next month after six-and-a-half years, making his tenure second to only cofounder and CEO Mark Zuckerberg. Colleran will find good company on the board, including PepsiCo Digital Chief Shiv Singh, Gary Vaynerchuk and Seth Meyers — yes, the guy who does “Weekend Update” for “Saturday Night Live.”

Social media integrator Meebo made room for a slew of executive promotions: Martin Green has been promoted from chief operating officer to president; cofounder Sandy Jen has been bumped up to chief technology officer after serving as vice president of engineering; and cofounder Elaine Wherry gets the new role of chief experience officer.

Matt Belson has been named vice president and account director of the global Dell brand at agency Arnold Worldwide. Belson spent nine years at Young & Rubicam in New York, where he most recently served as global account director for Dell.

O2 Media has named Kelly Wearmouth head of content partnerships. Previously Wearmouth was head of MSN.co.uk sales at Microsoft Advertising.

Time Inc.’s Media Networks appointed Matthew Fanelli vice president of digital. Fanelli, who joined the company in 2007, was previously executive director of digital media.

Richard Gringas, CEO of Salon Media Group, is heading over to Google to lead the global news products division. Before jumping over to Salon, Gringas served as a Google advisor on media product strategy.

Aegis Media Group agency Isobar appointed Sara Ramsey managing director of its San Francisco office. Ramsey has held leadership roles at T3, Publicis Modem, OgilvyOne and Wunderman, but was last seen serving as vice president of account management at Real Branding. Previous San Fran managing director has shifted to another within Aegis Media North America. Speaking of Aegis Media, Andre Andrade has been moved from CEO of Aegis Media to CEO of Aegis Media Iberia.
