Bizo Deploys Link Shortener for B2B Targeting
ADOTAS – In the B2B world, reputation revolves increasingly on what you share via social media outlets. B2B targeting specialist Bizo how found a way to monetize this activity through its Bizo Switchboard smart link shortener, now free for use during its beta period.
Links don’t always have to go to a company’s web properties — through the customizable “brand bar,” a company can direct users to third-party content of interest while still tapping the business demographic data. Through Bizo’s Audience Marketing Platform, B2B marketers can personalize offers as well as secure data for retargeting.
“All marketing, communications and editorial professionals embed links and share shortened links via social media in an effort to extend their brands and messages to a wider audience; hoping to find the right audience,” said Chris Mann, director of product management of Bizo. “Until today, they have had little to no information as to who clicked on a link and no chance to engage with the ‘right’ audience when they found it. Bizo Switchboard puts rigor around how marketers use shared links to engage, measure and drive prospects through the marketing funnel.”

An interesting tool for B2B social marketing, although I’m not convinced this will generate leads for B2B companies.
I like to mention MyTradeZone.com for the B2B marketers. It’s a free B2B social networking site where businesses can create their company profile, post their products, and follow other companies through the marketplace and community.
