Quick Hits: Google Me Is Real?

punch_small.jpgADOTAS – Though I thought it dead and gone (or possibly having never existed), rumors have surfaced that Google’s social network, the infamous “Google Me,” will launch at the I/O developer’s conference in May. And here we thought Google had waved the white flag on social, surrendering the territory to Facebook.

New Media Strategies is not getting its social media marketing contract with Chrysler renewed after one of its “strategists” dropped a (kinda hilarious) f-bomb on the automaker’s Twitter account — apparently the now-terminated employee thought he/she was writing on his/her personal account. As I keep writing, you have to be careful with your tweeting, but part of me wishes that Chrysler had gone along with it — I’d be more inclined to follow the car-maker (even though I’m a Caravan man) if I got something off-kilter once in a while.

Soon to be former Google CEO Eric Schmidt might have a new job offer from a surprising place — apparently he’s on President Barack Obama’s short list for Secretary of the Treasury.

Adgregate Markets has integrated PowerReviews’ ratings and reviews solution into its ShopFans social commerce stores for Facebook.
