Glam Does Canada With BBS Acquisition


canada1.jpgADOTAS – Female-focused vertical network Glam Media is moving into the Great White North, setting up shop in Toronto with the acquisition of Canadian online media outfit BBS Media.

Glam, who had partnered with BBS for four years prior, is planning to add numerous local Canadian content creators to its publisher platform as well as launched this summer. In addition, the company is introducing its ad-serving platform to Canadian brands and publishers.

Mark Boxer and Brian Fields, cofounders of BBS, have been named vice presidents of Glam Media Canada. They will manage publisher and brand-advertising sales as well as head the BBS Media team.

“BBS was founded to help advertisers more effectively engage with passionate consumer audiences across a range of lifestyle categories in Canada,” said Fields. “Combining our intimate approach to building brand advertising online with Glam Media’s focus on premium content from journalists, authors and publishers, and their considerable resources and technology, will usher in the next generation of digital advertising solutions that promote stronger brand engagement in Canada.”
