ADOTAS – Originally developed as an internal tool for owned and operated websites like SheKnows.com and CraveOnline, Evolve Media Corp. has launched its SpringBoard Video division, which will monetize video content for mid-tail publisher partners through the ad-supported SpringBoard video player and content manager.
For advertisers, SpringBoard offers end-to-end video service, complete with creative strategizing and production via SpringBoard Studios. The division offers unique ad products such as SpringCast, which allows viewers to select the preroll, as well as Brand Canvas and Canvas Player.
In addition, SpringBoard will be able to bundle display and video campaigns for the publishers it reps. Publishers can also use the SpringBoard video player as a content manager without the ad support. Currently SpringBoard is powering the video content of 160 mid-tail sites. Of the 150 million monthly streams served by SpringBoard in January 2011 (according to comScore), approximately 60% were exclusively served through the SpringBoard video platform.
Leading the plucky new video sales team is Video Egg and ScanScout veteran Dan Drescher, who takes the title of vice president of sales.
