Trendrr Powers Vulture’s Buzz Meter

meter_smallADOTAS – Vulture, New York magazine’s “culture blog,” has introduced the Vulture Anticipation Index, which measures buzz on upcoming movies, books, TV shows and other entertainment events based on Internet activity across the blogosphere and social mediascape.

Powered by Trendrr technology, the index’s algorithm judges excitement levels and re-ranks its buzz list every 24 hours; once an event passes its release or launch date, it’s shoved off the list. Users will also be able to analyze hype increases or decreases over seven-day periods.

“We are thrilled to power Vulture’s smart parsing of the social web,” said Mark Ghuneim, founder of Trendrr, which provides tools for measuring digital and social media activity. “The Anticipation Index is pure info porn.”
