Got Funds? Adknowledge Rakes in $200 Million


money_tree_small.jpgADOTAS – Investors seem to think there’s money in the long-tail after all. Adknowledge, which runs long-tail advertising marketplace, just raised $200 million in debt and equity financing that it plans to put towards acquisitions. The company wants expand its network to allow advertisers access to long-tail mobile and video.

Leading the equity investment was JMI Equity, while Bank of America was at the head of the debt financing. In the last year, Adknowledge has roughly doubled its size through organice growth as well as acquisitions such as CPA performance network Hydra. With 330 employees, $300 million in revenue and more than 10,000 advertisers, Adknowledge calls itself the largest privately owned online ad network.
