Mogreet Injects Rich Media Into SMS

mobiletv.jpgADOTAS – Mogreet CEO James Citron pretty much blew my mind last year when he showed me his company’s technology for putting video ads in SMS. And these weren’t limited to smartphones — at the time of launch, Mogreet supported an estimated 2,300 handsets, meaning ads could be texted to 200 million U.S. mobile devices through every major carrier.

But that was last year — Mogreet has fully embraced rich media with the launch of Multimedia Messaging (MMS) ad-serving capabilities that can reach 90% of mobile subscribers. Advertisers can send video, images and text advertising to feature phones or smartphones in North America, Europe and Asia.

In addition, answer service ChaCha has partnered with Mogreet to incorporate video and images into the mobile answering service. In particular, ChaCha advertisers can respond to questions or keywords texted to the service with relevant rich media ads.
