Got Funds? $15 Million Lifts Travel Ad Network

money_tree_small.jpgADOTAS – Travel Ad Network (TAN), a vertical media company focused on — you’ll never believe this — travel, left a Series C round of financing $15 million richer. StarVest Partners led the round, joining existing investors Rho Ventures and Village Ventures. The investment brings TAN’s fundraising total to $30 million.

TAN has grown revenue by 30% over the last year and boasts 36 million unique monthly visitors through premium sites such as BBC’s Lonely Planet, Lonely Planet and Rand McNally. In the online travel arena, PaidContent notes that these numbers trail only Expedia in reach

“Travel Ad Network’s goal remains to build, serve and organize the largest online travel audience worldwide,” commented TAN President and CEO Brian Silver. “Our advantage is to understand intent throughout the lifecycle of travel planning and purchase.”

StarVest General Partner Larry A. Bettino will take a seat on the board of directors.
