LinkShare Links Mobile Platforms for Affiliate Marketers
ADOTAS – Come here, mobile commerce — LinkShare’s got a big ol’ bear hug for ya.
After extensively testing its tracking technology on top smartphone platforms, affiliate marketing network LinkShare announced today at the Affiliate Summit East conference that it offers advertisers and publishers to extend their partnerships across mobile and online platforms via its network.
During the evaluation process on platforms including iPhone, Android, Blackberry and Palm, client drugstore.com used LinkShare’s m-commerce tracking facilities to credit the correct mobile publishers with sales from mobile devices for health, skincare and other products. LinkShare claims it is the first affiliate marketing network to “fully embrace m-commerce.”
“Our commitment to testing demonstrates our belief in the almost limitless possibilities to create new partnerships and new sources of revenue for our advertisers and publishers,” commented LinkShare CEO Yaz Iida.
The company recently reported that second-quarter sales in its network were up 30% year-over-year.
