Pixazza Gives Pubs Self-Service, Raises Funds

selfserveADOTAS – Please, help yourselves: Pixazza, which makes static web images interactive by adding information on spotlighted products and providing pathways to purchase, has introduced a self-service tool to aid publishers and bloggers of any size annotate images on their sites.

Pixazza’s Publisher Dashboard enables publishers to tag and match their images to the company’s catalog of 10 million apparel, home, electronic, sports, travel and automotive products sold by dozens of vendors. Pixazza’s technology updates the tags on a real-time basis to incorporate sales best prices.

In addition, Pixazz closed a Series B round of funding flush with $12 million. Led by Shasta Ventures, existing investors August Capital, CMEA Capital and Google Ventures donated to the cause.

Initially focused on the world of fashion, Pixazza busted into the home, travel and sports verticals in April. Currently the network is witnessing 25 million unique visitors a month and enabling images at a rate of 8 billion per year, making for 60% growth in three months.
