ADOTAS – The IDC published a report this week stating that online ad spending in the U.S. should “almost completely recover” from the recession. The report also projects that Google will most likely have the highest growth.
Growth is projected to grow 19% to $31.5 billion this year in the U.S. while worldwide spend should bump up 18% to $72 billion. Search, according to the report, will grow from $13.8 billion to $27.3 billion between now and 2014.
This growth in search advertising validates Microsoft’s “almost obsessive focus on search,” and “Yahoo’s resolve to stay in search,” according to the report.
