ADOTAS – Comparing it to a network-based Flash to MP4 or MPEG-TS video adaption layer, RipCode has launched TransAct Transcoder V6 (which sounds like something out of a Philip K. Dick novel), which detects and converts Flash-based content into a container, video codec or a audio codec that the iPad will happily display. While HTML5 seems to be the Flash workaround on everyone’s mind, it’s not nearly as widespread in digital advertising as Flash. The transcoder does not make content hosts switch to HTML5 or pre-transcode video libraries, and a device-based client is unnecessary
— EyeWonder has updated the AdWonder Flash component to fully support Adobe’s Creative Suite 5. In addition to offering users more flexibility in developing rich media and video campaigns, the component features adaptive bit-rate streaming support for all types of delivery and allows for easy previewing on live Web pages via an improved skinning tool.
