Kyte Marries Video and Facebook

video_smallADOTAS – Marketers are cuckoo for Facebook, but also crazy about interactive video? Here’s a crazy thought: let’s throw ‘em together, see what happens. Video platform Kyte has done just that, introducing its Facebook Application Framework that allows media companies and marketers to speedily setup interactive video on Facebook.

Oh, and publishers? They’ll have an easier time connecting with Facebookers and monetizing their content via video advertising on canvas pages, which serves as publishers’ branded video destinations within Facebook. These pages include not only the most recent video content but also multimedia chat, user comments and real-time video sharing. Through news feed notifications, fans are informed when new videos appear and can play them through their news feeds.

On top of that, Kyte’s integrated Facebook’s new social plugins, allowing marketers to add a “Like” button in the Kyte player to enable sharing of videos with just a click — no matter where the video is embedded. Plus Kyte customers have the option of embedding “Facebook Recommendations” boxes on their pages.
