Innovative Media Is So Glam

glamADOTAS – In mentioning industry names that appear on Fast Company’s annual Most Innovative Companies, we’d be remiss to not include Glam Media, which took the top spot among the Most Innovative Media companies. Glam was also #37 on the general Most Innovative list.

The vertical network dedicated to the interest of women online beat out other big shots such as Politico, Vice and Huffington Post. With a network of 1,500 blogs and websites devoted to women’s interests, Glam has one of the highest trafficked networks. In addition to turning a profit in October, Glam estimates it has increased revenue for its publishers by 20% to 50%.

According to comScore’s “2009 U.S. Digital Year in Review,” Glam was one of the top 10 publishers of display ads with 26 billion impressions in 2009. Recently, Todd Lombardo abdicated his position as the head of the Yahoo! Publisher Network, B2B Marketing and Global Insights marketing teams to become Glam’s vice president of B2B marketing.
