Got Funds? Quantcast and ChaCha

money_tree_small.jpgADOTAS – Quantcast found a jolly amount of funding in its stocking this holiday season.

The audience measurement company just closed its Series C round of funding with $27.5 million raised. Cisco and Polaris Venture Partners were top investors this round, which brings Quantcast’s total fundraising to $53.2 million.

The company plans to reinvest the funding into its media program, which was launched in late June and provides a platform for publishers to sell relevant audience data to marketers.

Mobile answer service ChaCha also celebrated the New Year with some cash — a Series E funding round closed at $7 million, bringing four-year fundraising total to $52 million. That was a nice nightcap on the news that ChaCha’s text service overtook Google in mobile text traffic in the third quarter of 2009, according to Nielsen Mobile.
