Got Funds? Flurry

money_tree_small.jpgADOTAS – As it breaks the milestone of tracking more than a billion end user app sessions per month, mobile application analytics provider Flurry announced it has raised $7 million in a Series B round of financing.

Then leading investor was venture capital firm InterWest Partners, but legacy investors Draper Fisher Jurvetson, Union Square Ventures, First Round Capital and Draper Richards also contributed to the big payday. InterWest general partner Doug Pepper has grabbed a seat on the Flurry board of directors as well.

New funding will be used to hire new employees and scale its infrastructure. In addition, the company plans to build out new services to increase application developer revenue. Currently in private beta, FlurryAppCircle, is the first in a line of products being developed to fulfill this goal by using data to target consumers and increase App Store sales.

More than 15,000 developers have integrated Flurry’s analytics tools into apps that have been downloaded to more than 80% of all iPhones, iPod Touches and Android devices. The company also recently partnered with comScore to provide insight into the consumption habits of smartphone users.
