comScore and Flurry Team for Mobile Analytics

mobiletv.jpgADOTAS – After becoming the “app authority” via its merger with rival Pinch Media, Flurry Analytics is expanding its mobile analytic reach to bigger names through a new partnership with comScore.

To assist brands, marketers, publishers and others in measuring user engagement with apps, Flurry Analytics has teamed with comScore to provide comprehensive insight into the consumption habits of smartphone users.

The joint offering fuses comScore’s mobile audience measurement tool with Flurry’s real-time consumption and application usage data — including frequency of use, geo-location and wi-fi vs. carrier network usage — to analyze the behavior of iPhone, Android and Blackberry users. comScore will basically sell Flurry’s SDK as an insightful mobile analytics tool with additional charting and reporting software added by the former.

A few weeks ago Flurry merged with Pinch Media, in effect forming the largest mobile analytics platform available in terms of user base. The resulting company records data for more than 80% of all iPhones, iPod Touches and Android devices, tracking 1 billion user sessions on 50 million mobile phones over 200 countries each month. In addition, 10,000 developers have already integrated Flurry’s tracking software within their apps.
