Spreezio Wants to Help You Make a Deal

shoppingcart.jpgADOTAS – Sometimes technology advances so much it can resemble something antiquated. For example, Spreezio’s recently relaunched shopping platform resembles a bartering exchange straight out of a bazaar.

Users browse Spreezio’s database of 35 million items and enter a price they like for a specific piece of merchandise. Then they send what kind of discount they expect to encourage them to go to a local merchant and purchase. Spreezio shuttles the proposal to the ratailer and delivers an answer.Since launching, Spreezio has recruited 100 national retailers such as Macy’s, Nordstrom’s and Target. In its ingenuity, it’s a surprisingly old-fashioned form of consumer engagement.

Reader Comments.

I really like your comparison on how technology can make the “old”, “new” again…I hadn’t thought about it this way and I’ve been working on it for 18 months! LOL
