Retargeting Is Effective but Underused

target_small.jpgADOTAS – Online marketers apparently know what’s good for their business but they just aren’t doing it.

A survey of specialized marketers conducted by Advertise.com and SEMPO found that 46.3% considered retargeting the most underused online marketing tool. However, nearly 70% said they had never tried to use it in a campaign.

In addition, of the 30.5% who had taken advantage of retargeting, 53.1% found that it made their display advertising more effective.

Another 18.3% of respondents cited geotargeting as underused, while 15.9% said the same for traffic source optimization and 13.4% for keyword targeting.
