google_recruiting_small.jpgADOTAS – Just like me, Google needs a jolt in the morning — or rather the New Year, when it plans to drown a big dose of Caffeine.

After the holidays Google will introduce a new method for indexing the web, code-named Caffeine. While it’s likely the average Joe won’t notice that anything’s different, Caffeine will improve Google’s search index algorithms and increase the speed at which Google can present results across multiple media –particularly image and video.

As the engine aims to boost its real-time search capabilities, a study by SEO firm Summit Media found that the caffeine upgrade put added emphasis on social media and news results for generic search terms.
