Twitter to offer brands premium fuel
ADOTAS – Following news of a high amount of inactive brand accounts, Twitter is reaching out to corporations and brands with premium accounts.
At a Nesta panel in London, CEO and cofounder Biz Stone said that the site would charge for premium accounts, which would offer corporations and brands enhanced features and analytics.
“We want to present to [businesses] a layer of features to help make them better at Twitter, and share some of the analytics,” he said.
Stone was adamant that display and text ads would remain exiled from the site and would not be part of Twitter’s revenue strategy in the future.
