Global Spec examines how to suit up for the coming recovery

globalspec_small.jpgADOTAS – Typically autumn is a depressing season as leaves fall and the drop in temperature signals winter is on its way. However, this fall feels more like the spring as signs of economic recovery are blooming in every corner. The latest white paper from Global Spec, “Preparing for Economic Recovery: How Industrial Sector Companies Can Successfully Emerge From the Downturn,” reports that now is the time to put in the legwork on marketing to the industrial sector — before recovery rolls in full-force.

The old forms of marketing are not going to cut the mustard in this changed environment. Before the recession, marketing was trending away from traditional media outlets, such as printed trade journals or in-person trade shows, to online resources; now the shift is nearly complete. Possibly the best part of this move is that online marketing is measurable and can be analyzed. Gauging the effectiveness of trade shows and industry magazines was far more of a gambit.

Using data from Global Spec’s “Trends in Industrial Marketing 2009,” the white paper maps out opportunities in a recovery environment and features a six-point checklist for success. When the seasons change, it’s best to have the proper clothes ready — Global Spec will tell you what to wear.
