ADOTAS — Earlier this week, reports started filtering in that Google, the 800-pound gorilla of search and advertising was getting new votes of confidence at the close of Q3.
Mark Mahaney, Citi analyst, revised his estimate from 3% to 5% of growth. He also increased his EPS estimate from an initial $5.26 to $5.35. Some of his reasons cited include a pickup in CPC and the prediction that Bing.com, Microsoft’s answer to Google, should be considered more of a long-term threat rather than an immediate one. Analyst for Barclays, Doug Anmuth also raised his Q3 estimates for the company to +5.1% net revenue from +4.4%
