Industry news on hirings, partnerships and new offerings
ADOTAS — Mobile Commons, Concept Farm, Ripple6, Catalyst:SF, SponsorPark and Patch all had annoucements.
Catalyst:SF, announced that Christian Arens has joined the firm as a Partner and will head up all client services. Before joining Catalyst:SF, Arens was Vice President, Digital Strategy for Draftfcb West and earlier worked in top management for Freestyle Interactive and Foote, Cone and Belding. He also spent nearly two years establishing and building Ad Infuse, a mobile advertising network now owned by Velti. Mr. Arens helped Ad Infuse secure two rounds of funding netting nearly twenty million dollars in backing.
Patch, an Internet company dedicated to community-specific news and information, today announced the launch of two new websites serving the communities of Summit, New Jersey and Darien, Connecticut. The media company also announced the hiring of Scott Colontonio as the company’s first regional publisher, who comes to Patch from Gannett Digital, where he was director of Digital Advertising Sales.
The Concept Farm, a NYC advertising and content company, has hired Mark Weintraub as the Director of Account Management. Previously, Weintraub was a Group Account Director/Client Services Director, for TAXI, Inc. Prior to TAXI, he was the Management Supervisor at DDB where he worked on such accounts as Subaru, The American Stock Exchange, Hershey and Michelin Tires.
Mobile Commons, a mobile marketing technology company, has appointed Anthony M. Risicato as its Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining Mobile Commons, Risicato was general manager at Covario, the leader in interactive analytics focused on Global 2000 companies. From 2003 to 2007, Risicato was general manager at Innovation Interactive, a performance marketing company, overseeing business development, operations and product management. In 1998, Risicato joined DoubleClick, where he spearheaded the international operations launch of DART for Advertisers (DFA) based in London.

SponsorPark , an online sponsorship connection service, and New York-based The Erlick Group , a longstanding, a strategic sponsorship firm, announced a partnership that will bring The Erlick Group’s entertainment properties to SponsorPark’s online sponsorship community.
