ADOTAS — The Rubicon Project, AOL, Balihoo and 6Connex all had annoucements recently.
Balihoo, a local marketing technology firm, has secured $7 million in new funding. Led by OpenView Venture Partners, this investment will enable Balihoo to expand sales and marketing efforts as it continues to build its impressive roster of national clients, according to the company.
AOL has named Arthur Minson as the company’s new Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer. Minson joins AOL from Time Warner Cable, where he has served as Executive Vice President and Deputy CFO and helped manage that company’s separation from Time Warner. Prior to his role at Time Warner Cable, Minson led AOL’s Corporate Finance and Development activities.
The Rubicon Project has expanded ts global presence by opening an office in Sydney, Australia to encourage adoption of the internet advertising infrastructure throughout the Asia Pacific region. Kaylie Smith, formerly Head of Platform Japan + Asia Pacific at Google, has been appointed Managing Director for the Asia Pacific office. Smith brings an extensive background of internet expertise from companies including DoubleClick, Red Sherrif and Pearson gathered in Australasia, the U.S. and Europe.
6Connex, which is a provider of virtual experience technology marketing solutions, has named John Cabri as vice president of direct sales. Prior to 6Connex, John was managing director of Cabri & Associates, an executive strategic consultancy firm focused on fast-growth business situations. In addition, he has had leadership roles in global sales strategy and market development at WebEx.
